More product information

Mercusys AC650 High Gain Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter

The Mercusys MU6H (AC650) is a performance-tuned USB Wi-Fi adapter built for users who demand stronger, more reliable wireless connectivity on desktops and laptops. When your built-in wireless card struggles—whether due to weak signal, wall interference, or aging hardware—the MU6H steps in to give you a fresh edge with dual-band capability, high gain reception, and modern modulation enhancements.

On the 2.4 GHz band, the MU6H leverages 256-QAM modulation to boost throughput from the usual 150 Mbps to 200 Mbps, offering up to 33% faster performance for everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, and IoT connections. For more demanding use—HD streaming, online gaming, or large file transfers—it switches to the 5 GHz band, delivering speeds of up to 433 Mbps.

A standout feature is its 5 dBi high-gain external antenna, which significantly enhances signal reception and transmission strength. The antenna is adjustable and multi-directional, giving users flexibility to aim it optimally for better link quality, especially in challenging layouts or across rooms.

Installation is user-friendly. On modern Windows systems (Windows 10/11), it supports plug-and-play functionality, meaning you can insert it into a USB port and let the system configure automatically. For other operating systems or earlier Windows versions, drivers are available for download from the Mercusys website. It uses a USB 2.0 interface and supports common security protocols like WEP, WPA, and WPA2 to keep your wireless traffic protected.

Compact yet powerful, the Mercusys MU6H AC650 is ideal for giving older or underperforming PCs a modern wireless boost. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, or just frustrated by weak Wi-Fi, this adapter helps you reclaim performance, extend range, and enjoy smoother connectivity without replacing your entire system.
